How the dog bought a house

So, OK.  That title is probably misleading.  The dog didn't actually buy the house.  But the dog caused the house to be purchased!  As I say this, I wonder how often this happens....I'll bet it's not that uncommon.  Think of dog owning apartment dwellers, for example.

Be that as it may

The story I want to tell isn't that.  No apartment dwelling going on here.  But a great, bizarre story.  So listen up.

One day there was this dog. This dog was a pound dweller.  Somebody didn't value him overmuch as a puppy; enough to put him into shelter, but not enough to give him a home.  So there he was.  Now in due course someone adopted him, lucky guy that he was.  Unluckily, however, he had an undecended testicle and a poor-person owner.  The surgery to remove this dangerous item cost more than the poor-person could afford.  Years went by.  Finally, the undecended testicle became cancerous (as predicted) and caused a huge problem.  It did in fact kill the dog in the end.  On the way there, the dog (who received excellent veterinarian care in these final stages,) (go figure) was prescribed Tramadol 50 mg. for his discomfort.  In pretty large quantities.  Then he died.

And the dog's owner was in possession of quite a bit of Tramadol, 50 mg.  Along, of course, with the tastefully preserved ashes of the pound hound.

Now what happened next was that the poor-person engaged in prolonged activity of a kind that caused localized bodily pain.  The person thought of the Tramadol.

And there we have it...the cascading slope of consequences that resulted in the purchase of a house.
I could provide the details, but who cares?  The amazing thing is really that the sick dog set up the circumstance that produced a series of events that ended with a house purchase.

OK.  So maybe we do need the details.

Thing is I have details of another series like this...where a guy moving to Vermont - to take care of his son - causes a woman in Florida to move to Illinois.....this stuff is amazing!

And now, with recent events,  I think this stuff must go on all the time!

Do you people realize what leads to what in this world???   It's like every move we make has these amazing unpredictable, unintended consequences....Yikes.  Isn't that scary?  How do we dare do anything? How do we prepare for the completely unexpected?  How do we dare act?

Buying a house has millions of unpredictable, unexpected consequences.  We think of the ones we "expect"....nice place to live...plenty of space....etc. etc.   whatever...the hot tub....but we cannot think of all the unexpected things...by definition!  But there are huge numbers of them! And they could be just amazing!  Or horrifying!  We do not know!!

Holy Cow.
